Bronze & ceramic sculpture

Barry studied sculpture at Leicester and, intrigued by animals, their character and movement, joined the British Natural History Museum in London, where he became Head of Model-making and Taxidermy.


Barry has exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art, Yorkshire Museum and in galleries throughout Britain. In 2008 he was awarded the 1st prize for Sculpture at the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year Show at the Mall Galleries, London for his “Running Warthog” and he is a regular exhibitor at the Mall Galleries in London, at both the David Shepherd Wildlife Awards and the Society of Wildlife Artists annual exhibition.

His skill in anatomical sculpting and his understanding of animal movement and behaviour led to his involvement in film and T.V. work, which included:
